Chicago – September 30, 2026
ENSCO will share practical strategies to help transit agencies protect critical systems and reduce the risk of service disruptions during the 2026 APTA TRANSform Conference & EXPO, taking place Oct. 4 to 7 in Chicago.
ENSCO’s Ruben Peña and Jody Godfree of the University of South Florida’s (USF) Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) will present “From Cyber Risk to Cyber Resilience: Practical Strategies for Transit Agencies” on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 11-11:30 a.m. CDT in the Hot Topics Zone at Booth 3256.
The presentation will examine how the cyber threat landscape for transit agencies is changing as operational technology and other systems become increasingly interconnected. Peña and Godfree will discuss how cyberattacks can disrupt transit operations and create opportunities for future attacks. They will also share practical steps agencies can take to better protect their systems.
The session is designed for transit security, safety, operations and technology professionals and will highlight how training and vigilance can help agencies prepare for evolving cyber threats.
