Bill Edwards, ENSCO’s Director of Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) Operations, will serve as a keynote speaker at the 7th Annual Global Shield Conference in Seattle on October 3, 2025. His address, Killer Drones: The Evolution of sUAS. Why You Should Care!, will focus on the rapid development of Small Uncrewed Aerial Systems (sUAS) and the security risks they pose to public safety and emergency preparedness.

Edwards’ presentation will provide an in-depth examination of the sUAS ecosystem, C-UAS technologies, and federal laws governing drone use. Attendees will gain insights into why the proliferation of drones represents a critical challenge for first responders, law enforcement, and security leaders preparing for large-scale events such as the 2026 World Cup.

“Drones pose a growing threat to safety and security at every level,” said Kevin Pruett, Executive Vice President of ENSCO. “Our training programs are designed to give professionals the tools they need to strengthen their defenses, adapt to new threats, and ensure mission success.”

The Global Shield Conference brings together international security, law enforcement, and emergency management professionals to address emerging global threats. Edwards’ keynote will highlight how ENSCO’s training and expertise support comprehensive security program development that incorporates the air domain.
