President
ENSCO, Inc.
ENSCO, Inc. President Jeff Stevens is among the 10 honorees on Railway Age's 2025 Readers' Influential Leaders list. This annual recognition celebrates individuals nominated by readers for their significant impact on the North American rail industry.
Stevens was selected for his decades-long impact on railway safety and technology. He joined ENSCO in 1999 to advance modernization in automated track measurement, leading early developments in positioning systems, wireless communications, and autonomous operations. These innovations became the foundation for ENSCO’s automated inspection systems, now used to assess more than 25 million miles of track annually worldwide. Stevens also expanded ENSCO’s rolling stock inspection capabilities through ENSCO Rail and KLD Labs. In 2022, he spearheaded ENSCO’s successful bid to operate the Federal Railroad Administration’s Transportation Technology Center (TTC) in Pueblo, Colorado, which ENSCO is transforming into the nation's premier site for railway research, safety, and resiliency.
Since becoming ENSCO president in 2022, Stevens has guided the 750-person, $190 million enterprise through strategic growth across the space, defense, and transportation sectors. His leadership, focused on operational efficiency, workforce development, and customer innovation, continues to position ENSCO as a nimble, trusted partner in mission-critical markets.
“Railway Age is often called 'the Wall Street Journal of the rail industry' and it’s an honor for Jeff to be named as one of their Influential Leaders for 2025,” said ENSCO Chairman, Greg Young. “This recognition reflects ENSCO’s deep commitment to delivering mission-critical solutions, cutting-edge technologies, and trusted services that help shape the future of rail transportation—an industry that is more critical than ever to our nation's and the world's economy. Congratulations to Jeff and to the entire ENSCO team whose passion and impact continue to move the rail industry and our other critical sectors of business forward!”
