Springfield, Va., October 13, 2021

ENSCO Rail, an international leader in advanced technologies for passenger, transit and freight rail markets, is pleased to announce it is a double platinum sponsor of the 26th Annual Wheel Rail Interaction (WRI) Conference in Chicago, Ill., October 18-21, 2021.

Subject matter experts will be in the ENSCO booth to discuss ENSCO capabilities and advances in track measurement, autonomous track inspection, machine vision, maintenance planning, and vehicle/track interaction analysis.

ENSCO Rail Division Manager Matthew Dick will present “Vehicle-Track Measurement Technologies” on October 19. The presentation will provide training on current track and rolling stock condition monitoring systems, including track geometry vehicles and wayside inspection systems. It will be presented as part of the Principles Course, an intensive, full-day course providing in-depth examination of the primary aspects of wheel/rail and vehicle/track interaction.

“ENSCO Rail is the leader in innovative, reliable, automated track inspection. We are proud to be sponsoring WRI again this year,” said ENSCO President Boris Nejikovsky. “The conference gives us the opportunity to talk with customers and partners in the industry and listen to the challenges they face. It offers a chance to solicit feedback about how to use technology to address those challenges now and in the future.”

Since 1994, the rail industry has looked to WRI as a premier venue for railroad education. The Rail Transit Seminar is devoted to examining wheel/rail and vehicle/track interaction on light rail and subway operations. This cross-disciplinary seminar will include presentations from experts in vehicle/track dynamics, noise and vibration, wheel/rail profile design and maintenance and friction management.
