Director of CCIP, ENSCO
At this year's Girls in Tech Conference in Pueblo, Colorado, Erin Plemons, Director of ENSCO's Center for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CCIP), served as keynote speaker, sharing her career journey and encouraging students to explore opportunities in technology and cybersecurity.
Hosted by C3 Cyber Training, the annual event brings together high school students interested in technology careers and connects them with professionals working across the field. During her presentation, Plemons shared the lessons that have shaped her career, including what has helped her grow professionally, the challenges she has overcome, and the importance of remaining open to learning throughout the journey. She also highlighted resources students can use to continue exploring careers in cybersecurity after the conference.
“I wanted the students to understand that there isn't one path into cybersecurity,” Plemons said. “No matter where you're starting, there are opportunities to learn, grow, and build a rewarding career.”
Plemons' presentation reflects ENSCO’s dedication to supporting STEM education and expanding access to career opportunities in technology. Through events like the Girls in Tech Conference, ENSCO employees engage with students to share real-world insights and help inspire the next generation of innovators and cybersecurity professionals.
ENSCO thanks C3 Cyber Training, event organizers, educators, and students for making this year's Girls in Tech Conference a success.
