Baltimore, MD – September 8, 2025

ENSCO's Chief Technologist of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), Dr. Wil Myrick, will present at ION GNSS+ 2025, the world’s premier showcase for global navigation satellite technology, taking place in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Myrick will present his latest research on Federated Array Intelligent Link Server Architecture for Enhanced Synchronization (FAILSAFES®) during Session E1: Emerging Technologies for Alternative, Resilient, and Intelligent PNT Systems on Wednesday, September 10, at 8:57 a.m. His presentation will explore a new approach to reliable timing and navigation in GPS-denied environments, addressing critical challenges for defense, aerospace, and resilient infrastructure applications leveraging open time server architectures.

Dr. Wil Myrick from ENSCO - ION GNSS+ 2025

“Our work on FAILSAFES is focused on enabling robust navigation and synchronization in complex operational environments where GPS is unreliable or unavailable while combining inexpensive readily available Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components with open time server architectures. This open time server cluster (OTS-C) architecture is designed to strengthen mission success through intelligent, unified alternatives that support distributed systems and edge users alike.”
