ENSCO Inc. has announced that Dr. Thomas Burns has resigned as President and CEO for personal reasons related to his health.
Gregory Young, Dr. Burns’ predecessor, will return as Acting President and CEO until the company identifies a permanent successor for Dr. Burns.
“Our business and support to our customers will continue without interruption or compromise as we search for a President and CEO,” states Paul W. Broome, Executive Chairman of the Board. “Our search for the right candidate has begun, and we look forward to having that person in place as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are confident that Mr. Young will bring the stability to continue business operations seamlessly and to support our customers, shareholders and employees.”
