About ENSCO Our Hiring Process

Our Hiring Process

So, you think you are a good match for ENSCO, and ENSCO for you. What’s next? To help you anticipate what’s to come, here is the general hiring process at ENSCO:

1. Application

If you see a specific job in our job postings that interests you, apply specifically to that job. Or, you may submit a resume and application without specifying a particular job. However, applying specifically for one or more positions ensures prompt review and consideration, because your resume is sent within hours to the recruiter responsible for that position.

2. Preliminary screening

Our recruiter reviews the qualifications of all prospective employees and forwards the resumes of the most appropriately qualified candidates to the hiring manager. The hiring manager selects the candidates to be interviewed.

3. Phone screening

Many times, An ENSCO recruiter will call you to discuss your background and experience further in order to determine if you are a good fit for the position.

4. Scheduling an interview

If the hiring manager thinks you are a good fit for the open position, we will schedule an in-person interview. A recruiting assistant will call to arrange a mutually agreeable date and time.

5. The Interview

Depending on the type of job and the department, you may have an interview with one or several individuals. In the interview, you will be able to find out more about ENSCO, the work we do, and the responsibilities specific to the job for which you are applying.  In some cases, additional interviews will be scheduled in order to make a final decision.

6. Reference check

If we're considering you for a job offer, we will contact the references you provided in your application. Typically, this takes about a week. If the information we collect is satisfactory to us, we will proceed to make an offer.

7. Background Checks

If we consider you for a job offer, we will conduct a background check. In some cases a drug screening may be required

8. Offer

If you're selected for the position, ENSCO will provide a formal offer in the form of a letter. The offer package will include starting salary and a summary of benefits, as well as any other important information regarding compensation. There will also be a date that we expect to be informed of your decision.

9. Hire and orientation

Once you accept the offer, we will discuss and determine your start date. On your first day at ENSCO, you will spend approximately a half-day with the HR department, completing salary, benefits, and other human resources forms, as well as reviewing orientation materials.
