Vehicle Tracking and Passenger Information Management System

Tracking assets that are stationary is a challenge, but how difficult is it to track trains that are in constant motion? TrainSTAT is a complete Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) system for trains. Using GPS, wireless messaging, and GIS maps, trains are tracked via their location at waypoints and can be displayed to public or private web sites. Public sites assist customers on the arrival time for a train via the web or even to mobile devices like cell phones and message boards at the platform. Private sites allow railroad personnel to gain valuable access to track scheduling and train management. All data collected is stored in ENSCO’s TrackIT® database for display and analysis.
