For more than 35 years, ENSCO’s team of engineers has been leading the rail industry in developing new, advanced technologies for transportation. ENSCO systems help customers improve the quality of their operations, while making travel safer. We are committed to research and development on our existing solutions such as Web-based data management, railroad track inspection systems, and large-scale system integration, along with other new solutions. The ENSCO name represents the rail industry’s source for track inspection systems, track inspection services, vehicle evaluation testing, asset management, and transit safety/security.

Our solutions assist the rail industry by converting daily repeated manual tasks into automated tasks utilizing state-of-the-art technology. For example, a task that has required an inspector to walk the track can now be performed by a vehicle at high speed equipped with ENSCO systems. Working closely with the U.S. Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), ENSCO has created mechanisms that make the inspection process objective and quantifiable instead of subjective. These enhancements also bring advanced data storage, data retrieval, and data deployment techniques to your staff. These tools will provide improved staff management, track inspection, track maintenance, and asset tracking to your organization.

During the 1970s, ENSCO began a relationship with the FRA, which focused on giving them tools to inspect track in the United States for their Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP). Since then, ENSCO has supplied the FRA with all official inspection vehicles and continues to be the sole operator of the program. In addition, ENSCO has supplied inspection vehicles for both passenger and freight railroads around the world.
