Springfield, Va., May 14, 2008 — ENSCO announced today the promotion of Rob Hamrick to Vice President of ENSCO’s Advanced Projects and Applications (APA) Division. Mr. Hamrick was promoted from his previous position as Division Manager of APA, which he held for two years.
APA’s business, which provides innovative technologies and services to the national security community, has grown under Mr. Hamrick’s leadership. “I am pleased to lead such a great team and look forward to our mutual successes in the coming years,’’ said Rob Hamrick, Vice President, ENSCO.
An employee with ENSCO since 1985, Rob is familiar with the core values of ENSCO and the impact they have on expanding business for the company while providing stimulating challenges for employees. In his new role, Mr. Hamrick’s primary goal is to grow APA's business through strong relationships with current and new customers, ensuring long-term business stability and significant opportunities for our staff.

ENSCO’s APA Division traditionally focused on the DOD and DHS markets, but with Mr. Hamrick’s direction, during the last two years, is expanding its services and solutions into commercial markets. Recent collaborations with a leading company in the first responder marketplace have produced ENSCO’s Dalmatian product, which is a GPS-denied geolocation device that tracks path and location using low-cost inertial measurement units (IMUs). This product is being marketed to firefighters and other first responders.
"Over the next several years, APA will be focusing on growth initiatives with a goal of building up our technology product line in support of GPS-denied geolocation and navigation, underground characterization technologies, and security services,” further said, Mr. Hamrick.
