Cocoa Beach, Fla./Melbourne, Fla., May 4, 2004 – ENSCO, Inc., a diversified research, development and information technology company announced today that Kevin Pruett, City Commissioner of Cocoa Beach and formerly Senior Business Development Manager for Homeland Security at Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Fla., has joined the company as Division Manager of the Aerospace Science and Engineering (ASE) Division, located in Cocoa Beach, Fla. In this role, Mr. Pruett will manage ENSCO’s existing government and commercial aerospace programs, as well as direct strategic planning for new initiatives. Under his leadership, the division’s vision is to become the premier architectural provider for sophisticated aerospace systems engineering and weather processing programs.

Mr. Pruett’s previous experience will be an invaluable benefit to ENSCO’s growth into new markets. While at Terion Inc., a Harris venture capital funded company, he held the position of Director of Program Management for asset tracking products. In this role, he managed teams in Melbourne, Fla. and Plano, Tex., focused on leveraging government and commercial technologies aimed at increasing operating efficiencies in the trucking industry. During his eighteen-year tenure at Harris Corporation, he led several successful business development initiatives for the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Air Force and commercial weather programs. Prior to his weather assignment, Mr. Pruett was Harris’ on-site contract manager for the U.S. Air Force Range Operations Control Center systems integration project at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.
“Kevin’s weather and range experience align with ENSCO’s core competencies in meteorological science and launch range technology and support,” said ENSCO Vice President of Strategic Business Development John Warburton. “In addition, his experience at Terion is directly applicable to several ENSCO technology initiatives targeted for commercial applications.”
Mr. Pruett received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He also earned a master of business administration degree from Florida Tech. He earned his Certified Professional Contract Manager certificate from the National Contract Management Association and is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. Mr. Pruett currently serves as a commissioner for the City of Cocoa Beach, Florida. In addition, he also sits on the Board of Trustees for Cape Canaveral Hospital.
