ENSCO Announces Expansion of Information Technology Business

Endicott, N.Y./Syracuse, N.Y., October 21, 2004 – ENSCO, Inc., a diversified research, development and information technology company, announced today the expansion of the company's Information Technology (IT) business, based out of Endicott, N.Y. David Oddy, the president and founder of Syracuse-based Odyssey Solutions Group and Odyssey Software, has joined ENSCO to lead this expansion and to facilitate the integration of Odyssey’s service suite with ENSCO’s IT offerings.

An increased demand for ENSCO’s solutions for custom sales automation tools, e-procurement, security assessments, and data management have had the most recent influence on the company’s IT business growth in New York. “Odyssey Solutions Group and Odyssey Software are an excellent addition to ENSCO,” said ENSCO Vice President Neil Fifield, manager of the company’s New York operations. “These new capabilities will enhance the offerings our New York-based IT consulting practice provides to new and existing customers.”

ENSCO is currently the largest software engineering firm in Central New York, where their operations were founded in 1983 and the company now employs 350 engineers, software developers and high-tech professionals. Divisional programs include software development work for large multi-national customers in the fields of avionics and process controls, as well as a solid base of IT business for both government and commercial customers.

Odyssey Solutions Group and Odyssey Software have been providing premier software development and IT consulting services to the Central New York region for the past eight years, focused on providing IT solutions that include a unique blend of technology and consultative expertise.
