ENSCO Announces Promotions for Applied Technology Engineering Division

Falls Church, Va., August 18, 2005 -- ENSCO, Inc, today announced the promotions of several senior members of the company’s Applied Technology & Engineering (ATE) Division. Ta-Lun Yang, Kevin Kesler, Boris Nejikovsky and Susan Cook were recognized for their significant contributions, which have helped ENSCO to become one of the premier providers of safety and security to the Federal Railroad Administration and the railroad industry.

Dr. Ta-Lun Yang has been promoted to Vice President of the new International Technology Applications Division. Dr. Yang has been Vice President and Division Manager of ATE for the past 12 years and has been a substantial contributor to ENSCO’s rail engineering business for more than 33 years. He was instrumental in establishing ENSCO’s international rail business in the 1970s and continues to be the lead in sustaining and growing ATE’s international business.

Kevin Kesler, Deputy Division Manager of ATE, was chosen to succeed Ta-Lun as Division Manager. Kevin has been the Deputy Division Manager of ATE for the past 12 years and has been with ENSCO for 30 years. Kevin has been a substantial contributor to ENSCO’s rail engineering programs and business with the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and commercial customers during his career.

Boris Nejikovsky and Susan Cook have been promoted to Deputy Division Managers of ATE. Boris will also continue as Chief Engineer of the ATE Division.

Susan has been the Program Manager for ATE’s Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP) for more than three years and has been associated with ATIP since the beginning of her ENSCO career, 30 years ago. In addition to Program Manager for ATIP, Susan is also directing ENSCO’s efforts on the recently awarded G-Car contract to build two new geometry cars for the FRA.

Boris has been the Chief Engineer for ATE for six years and has been with ENSCO for more than 12 years. In recent years, Boris has been directing ATE technology development efforts overseeing mechanical, electrical, and software engineering groups. Boris helped to introduce a number of new innovative technologies and products including remote, autonomous and video inspection systems and Internet-based data management tools.
