ENSCO brings a high level of specialized skills, knowledge and professional acumen to the execution of its technical services. We continue to utilize technology and the keen judgment acquired from years in the field to implement unique solutions on behalf of our customers.
ENSCO was also able to provide value to one of its avionic customers by creating a virtual test to emulate a customer’s test stand (the 11 computers that make up the plane’s electrical system), thereby troubleshooting in advance, not on the customer’s high-dollar asset. The virtual simulation gave ENSCO better results while saving time and money for the client.
“We enjoy collaborating with customers and creating solutions that meet their needs, which in many cases are helping to make the world a safer place. Who wouldn’t want to come to work every day for that?”
- Jim Byers – Deputy Division Manager, Security Services Group
Time and time again, customers acknowledge the level of expertise and consistency we bring to helping their critical assets. United Airlines, for example, continues to rely on ENSCO’s weather experts to deliver reliable meteorological data for all its worldwide flights, using our technology to protect their passengers.
Similarly, ENSCO is one of only three external agencies working with the United States Air Force to help design the new Eastern and Western Missile Range architecture, this country’s main gateway to space. When the federal government embarked on this ambitious redesign, it put together a team of experts with the capabilities and experience required to articulate the requirements of the missile launch ranges for decades to come. ENSCO is honored to have been on that team, which helped determine a roadmap for the future, one that would both save money and make the U.S. space launch program more competitive.
Today, that same team including ENSCO, is ensuring those recommendations are implemented. Working with the U.S. Eastern and Western launch ranges, the team is rebuilding the architecture of the space launch program to make the United States more internationally competitive.
ENSCO continues to be a key supplier on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, the Department of Defense’s focal point for defining affordable next generation strike aircraft weapon systems. JSF suppliers look to ENSCO to provide software development and verification support to ensure systems safety standards are met for delivery of new warfighting capabilities for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and our allies.
ENSCO@Work: Unlikely innovation.“The technology we’re using is some of the most advanced in the world. We’ve taken something usually used in a controlled environment and fixed it to a hi-rail truck going
The Joint Bar Inspection System, which uses line scan cameras to detect cracks as small as 0.25 inches in length at speeds up to 65 mph, is perhaps the fastest, most innovative use of image processing technology in the world. Since ENSCO’s six systems went into service two years ago, 7,000 defective joints have been found. |
